Which app or program do you check first thing in the morning?

As dating is a 24/7 business and I work closely with our team in the USA, the first thing I do in the morning is check my email to see if anything important has come in overnight.

What does your typical day look like?

I wake up at 6am, before my daughter Ava wakes up, and start preparing for the day before I drop her at the childminders.

There really is no typical day for me! When I get to the office, I start by catching up with the team to see what they’ve got planned for the day ahead, before checking in with different departments for an update on some of the projects we’re working on.

At the moment, we’re working on enhancing some of our reporting systems, so I catch up with our Business Intelligence team, before joining a stand-up meeting with our development team to check in on the status of a new feature for members they’re working on.

Having been with White Label Dating for over eight years, I took a break last year to go on maternity leave. I returned to work in August and the team have been really supportive and flexible. Knowing my team have everything in hand, I leave at 3pm to pick up Ava and spend the afternoon with her.

Which app can’t you live without?

I don’t tend to use my phone a lot in my free time, but WhatsApp is really useful for catching up with my friends, family and the team at work throughout the day.

What do you like to do in your free time?

My free time is family time with my husband and daughter. We love visiting the farm, going on walks and spending time with friends and family.

Who is your professional inspiration?

I am inspired daily by my team at White Label Dating. They inspire me to create innovative growth strategies, to drive the business forward and… to chill out! They’re so great at what they do that I can focus on the more strategic aspects of running the White Label Dating division, knowing that our partners are in good hands.

What is your favourite film?

I love the film The Dark Knight!

What TV show/s are you currently watching?

Homeland and The Walking Dead. I’m currently watching the 6th series so I’m finally up to date!

What’s on your music playlist at the moment?

I love the 1xtra playlist! Discover Weekly on Spotify is also a favourite of mine, as it tells you what you might like and is always pretty accurate.

Outside of dating, which brand do you admire the most?

I think Dove did a great job with their Real Beauty campaign, inspiring women to feel comfortable in their own skin.

One of the reasons that a lot of people arrive at, or have trouble with, online dating is because of a lack of confidence. Our key goal, which is at the heart of everything we do, is to help everyone find the right person for them – whatever their interests, sexual preferences and even their appearance.

Our customer care team essentially act as dating coaches and do a great job of helping to build members’ confidence, but there is still a shortage of this kind of message in the media. We need more campaigns like Real Beauty.

Best advice you have received?

Everything is a phase – good or bad. Things will always change. Don’t get comfortable. This is particularly important in an industry as fast-paced as online dating.

Do you have any productivity tips?

There’s a theory created by David Allen known as GTD (Getting Things Done) which is a proven path for staying in control and maintaining perspective. It’s a work-life management system that turns the feeling of being overwhelmed into stress-free productivity. It’s really helped me to stay on task and balance my work and family life.
