Which app or program do you check first thing in the morning?

I have a ritual in the mornings. I get to the office, say hello to everyone (love the team here) and then turn on my Mac.

I always open the same three Safari tabs: www.hubpeople.com to check the numbers in the morning and Facebook and Linkedin for networking, news and a bit of industry gossip – we all love it don’t we?

What does your typical day look like?

HubPeople is a fast-growing company, but we are still a small team and therefore I cover quite a lot of different areas.

A typical day in the office often consists of reviewing performance, analysing spreadsheets, ensuring the affiliates are happy with our services and trying to increase their traffic / revenue / profit.

It is also my job to chase up contacts who are wobbling on the fence as to starting sites with us and giving them reassurance.

I also love connecting with new people via social media, forums and networking platforms.

I do Skype conferences and enjoy brainstorming ideas with my colleagues on how we can grow the business.

As if I don’t have enough to do, I also end up making a lot of tea after losing games of stone, paper, scissors (but I get my revenge by singing loudly when I have my headphones on!)

If I am on a business trip I network hard, attend panels, make a lot of new friends, collect 1000s of business cards (which litter my desk) and … well the usual 😉

Which app can’t you live without?

That is a difficult question. I would say Facebook Messenger, or maybe Skype, as doing business is not a 9 to 5 task, so I’m always up for some business chat from my phone. When I don’t lose it 🙂

What do you like doing in your free time?

Free time? What on earth is free time?! Hahaha!

Well, outside of office hours, I am still available. We deal with partners around the globe so 9 to 5 Monday to Friday is a little unconventional these days. When I do get free time I love karaoke, table tennis, nice food and fine red wine (sorry but I am French and I cannot help myself).

What is your favourite film?

The Green Mile –  if you haven’t seen it, then where have you been?!!

Which TV show are you currently watching?

I will pass on that one, I am confident but not shameless…

What’s on your music playlist at the moment?

If I am totally honest – the top 10 are Disney songs, with a preference for Frozen’s Let it Go and Je Voudrais deja Être Roi, the French version of The Lion King’s ‘Just Can’t Wait to be King’ – it sounds so much nicer in French and makes my colleagues run away to put the kettle on.

Who should we follow on Twitter?

@Hubpeople1 – HubPeople

@WHubpeople – Me

Sorry but a sales person stays a sales person – no matter what 😉

Do you have any productivity tips?

Hmmm…As a relative newbie, I think the best advice I can give is to be available, genuine, hardworking, outgoing and fun.

I still believe that I have a lot to learn in this ever-changing industry, and I think I will always be learning as new ideas arise and I meet more people.

Always keep an open mind when trying new things and only believe in a/b testing and numbers. (I have had some funny experiences. If you want some saucy stories get in touch with me – even more if you have traffic! hahaha!)

And the biggest tip of all – to remember that we are dealing with real people, real feelings and real relationships of all kinds.
