HubPeople Partners with Unpack’d to Migrate Say Allo and DiHola to Affinity
HubPeople, a provider of white-label dating infrastructure, has entered a partnership with Unpack’d Technologies to bring two niche dating apps – Say Allo and DiHola – onto its Affinity platform. This change allows the apps to transition from independent operations to HubPeople’s fully managed system while preserving their brand identities and user experiences.
Say Allo is an AI-driven dating app that emphasizes compatibility and meaningful connections through algorithmic matching and conversation support. DiHola targets Latino singles, focusing on community-specific features and cultural alignment. Both apps have developed dedicated user bases in their respective segments.
Under the agreement, HubPeople migrated hundreds of thousands of users, along with media assets and existing mobile apps, to the Affinity platform. The process included introducing web access capabilities without disrupting service for existing members. HubPeople’s CTO, Nick Orton, commented on the technical scope: “We migrated hundreds of thousands of users and media assets onto our Affinity platform, updated the existing mobile apps, and introduced web capabilities. All while maintaining a seamless experience for users. Both Say Allo and DiHola are already successful and established brands, and we’re delighted to assist them in this next part of their journey.”
Zackary Lewis, CEO of Unpack’d Technologies, explained the strategic rationale: “After evaluating multiple platform partners, HubPeople stood out as a leader for their deep expertise in the dating category and their proven ability to help brands scale. This partnership allows us to pair our brand vision with their platform resources to shape the next evolution of dating experiences for Say Allo and DiHola, guiding our community toward more meaningful connections.”
By outsourcing infrastructure, hosting, scaling, and core operations to a third-party platform, developers can concentrate resources on user acquisition, community building, feature innovation, and brand differentiation rather than maintaining servers, databases, compliance, and uptime. In the case of HubPeople, Affinity platform has previously supported migrations for other mainstream and niche dating services – with a core focus on niche platforms that have appropriately niche audiences.
