Users’ Friends Review Their Personality With New Luxy Feature
Luxy has introduced a new feature that should help users have a better chance of finding a match in time for Valentine’s Day.
As part of the ‘MySingleFriend Challenge’, singles can invite their friends to choose up to three tags that best describe their personality and characteristics. These tags will appear on their profile to give potential matches an honest understanding of who they are.
Some of the most popular tags so far include ‘Killer Beauty’, ‘Sarcasm Connoisseur’, ‘Selfie Queen’ and ‘Globetrotter’.
The update is available through the ‘My Lucky Card’ section on Luxy, which users can choose to share with their friends through a variety of social media platforms. All descriptions are submitted anonymously to limit the possibility of any arguments.
Luxy is running a competition until 13th February, when the top 50 members with the most tags will win a lifetime ‘BLACK’ membership which gives them access to all the premium features.
This includes a video chat feature for virtual dating, unlimited swipes and greater security settings like AI profile picture verification.
As an online dating platform for successful singles, Luxy does see a number of people try to sign up for sugar dating. This number increased last year as many were financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
It launched a campaign in October to stop the 6% of new signups that were looking for a monetary relationship, by monitoring accounts for the presence of certain key words and phrases.
