Ann Friedman has written a great article over at The Cut about the most talked about dating service in the world – Tinder.
She focuses on how the app has been readily accepted by women, removing many of the tropes which made certain women disillusioned with other dating sites.
These include the removal of any sort of soul-bearing, emotional-CV profile, and also the bombardment of messages from men, which made one London woman feel like you were “offering yourself on a plate to a collection of the world’s lonelies.”
Add to this the game style function and that fact that it is genuinely fun, and she says Tinder has perfected a formula which women, and therefore men, are being drawn to in huge numbers.
