An Insight Into The Emerging World of Sexbots

A recent article published by the Guardian explores the emerging world of sexbots, looking at whether or not romantic relationships between humans and robots will begin to replace human-to-human connections.

Eva Wiseman speaks to the founder of the second annual Congress on Love and Sex with Robots, Daniel Levy, about the future of sex and how big a part robotics will play in it.

She also speaks to the founders of RealDolls, a company famous for its lifelike sex dolls, revealing its plans to extend its range “to develop an artificial intelligence system capable both of following commands and talking back to its user”.

RealDolls claim to have already sold 5,000 dolls and say that the Realbotix head, which will cost around $10,000, will be available in 2017.
