Ad Blocking Usage On Desktop Continues To Grow

Ad Blocking
A recent article by Marketing Land has revealed some worrying new statistics about ad blocking.

According to Blockmentry, ad blocking is continuing to grow on a global scale, with current figures at 32.4% of page views being blocked.

And this figure is up from 28.5% in May, a worrying statistic for advertisers looking to get their content seen.

Blockmentary founder Pierre Far said these figures show ad blocking’s real impact on websites, saying that: “43.3 percent of Opera desktop page views block ads, the highest desktop sub-type by a huge margin.”

And although more people are using desktop to access page views, figures show that three times as many ads are being blocked on mobile devices.
