FROM THE WEB: The Daily Mail Profiles Bumble CEO Whitney Wolfe

Bumble

The Daily Mail recently visited Whitney Wolfe at the Bumble headquarters in Austin, Texas.

Wolfe, who was named in this year’s GDI Power Book, talks about the birth of the company and the genesis of its female-first messaging approach.

The Bumble CEO says: “I could travel the world, I could start companies, but I was not allowed to strike up a conversation with the cute guy in my class at college?’ she asks. ‘If I make the first move, I’m perceived as a crazy girl, just for going after what I want. That’s not fair.”

The personal profile touches on Wolfe’s family life and upbringing, as well as her history with Tinder, and original idea for a good behaviour app called Merci.
