There has been somewhat of a brouhaha about the revelation that OkCupid offers premium users the chance to filter out people by “body type”.

For a mere $4.95, users can filter out those who describe themselves as “Overweight”, “Curvy”, “A little extra”, “Jacked” or the rather strange “Used Up”.

Today.com has talked to Sam Yagan, CEO of OkCupid, who defends the feature, saying “is it PC to say out loud that people are attracted to superficial things? I guess it’s not, but it is the truth.”
