Over the years, the way people date has evolved, however a recent article by Rolling Stone suggests that millennials are struggling to work out how courtship actually works for them.

In today’s online dating scene, the ability to meet someone online has never been easier – singles have the ability to scroll or swipe through potential partners at their fingertips.

However, the article asks whether this culture has meant millennials are potentially stuck in a rut – they remember a time before the internet and how people used to meet, but are living in a world where meeting someone is dependent on being online.

And because of this online dependency, the article argues that some millennials could be in a state of confusion, in some kind of “internet limbo”, finding it very difficult to take their online presence into the offline world.
