FROM THE WEB: Niche Dating Apps Are Paving The Way For Online Dating

Dating

A recent article by Vocativ looks at how the growth of niche dating platforms could be paving the way for the online dating industry.

The article suggests that because of the influx of niche apps, some of the biggest players in the industry have updated to better include certain groups.

For example, Vocativ argues that Tinder’s recent update to include more gender options was likely as a result of the growing number of LGBT-focused platforms.

And with new dating apps springing up every day, Vocativ suggests that niche platforms are becoming a popular option amongst singles, as they can hone in on exactly what they’re looking for.

Vocativ said: “So the biggest names in online dating have begun adding features, updating their platforms, and introducing new means of getting people excited and more likely to find what they’re actually looking for, rather than just a way to pass the time.”
