Twitter Launch Mobile App Install Ads Globally
Twitter have launched a mobile ad feature that allows users to directly install apps from their Twitter feed.
Mobile App Promotions has been running in beta since April, but this week Twitter have launched the service globally.
It will allow advertisers to offer install-ads for apps, or to drive engagement to apps the customer already owns.
Companies can create a promotional tweet, targeting it using Twitter’s existing filters such as interest, keyword, TV targeting and tailored audiences.
They will also be able to pinpoint users through gender, geo, language and mobile platform targeting.
Companies such as Lyft, EA and Dots used the service in its beta phase.
Christian Calderon, Head of User Acquisition at Dots said:
“We’ve reached tremendous scale on mobile app promotion. TwoDots has driven over a million app installs in a short period of time, and Twitter has become an essential user acquisition channel for us!”
Conversion tracking can also be used to see the effectiveness of mobile app campaigns.
This shows initial installs, when the app has been opened, sign ups and purchases.
Mobile App Promotions will only be available on iOS and Android.
