eHarmony Add Secure Calls with Twilio

eHarmony has added a function that allows users to call each other without revealing their phone number.

For this they have enlisted the help of telecommunications company Twilio, who specialise in embedding voice and text services into websites and apps.

This allows people to call potential matches through their desktop or mobile device, without revealing their phone numbers.

And, as the VP of Product Management Arvind Mishra explains on the promotional video, this feature means users are logging back into their account to make the calls on their computer.

Twilio sees around 4m calls a day through its services, and sends enough SMS messages to fill the New York Times in 45 seconds.
