Tinder has been very busy this year with the launch of Tinder Plus and their in-app ad campaigns, which are both bringing in revenue for the company.

In addition to this, Tinder has continued to create partnerships with brands, and their latest is with 20th Century Fox, to promote a new summer movie.

Tinder are offering their users the chance to see exclusive screenings of Spy, the upcoming comedy-action film from Paul Feig, starring Melissa McCarthy and Jude Law.

As with their previous promotions, profiles of the film’s characters have been added to the dating app, and singles who swipe right will get the chance to win tickets to the screenings.

The Paul Feig comedy flick is about a backroom desk-bound CIA analyst (Melissa McCarthy), who finds herself going undercover to bring down a dangerous arms dealer, after the identities of experienced secret agents Jude Law and Jason Statham are exposed.

Spy has received near unanimous praise from critics after being shown at SXSW, currently holding a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and a review in the Guardian saying it made “the audience howl so loudly that it was hard to hear some of the lines.”

And Tinder users from 50 US cities will have the chance to receive a pair of tickets to advance screenings of the film on 14th May, before the official release date on 5th June.

Tinder’s head of marketing, Phil Schwarz, said they were “excited we can give the Tinder community a sneak peek of the film.”

The collaboration is the first between Tinder and 20th Century Fox, and in addition to the advance showings, includes a cross digital presence and in-theatre elements.

Marc Weinstock, the president of domestic marketing at 20th Century Fox said: “Giving Tinder users the chance to see ‘Spy’ early is a great way for us to spread word of mouth and a great way to provide Tinder users with a fun and memorable first date experience.”
