AppLovin Releases SDK For Video Ads On AppleTV
Today, marketing platform AppLovin has released its SDK for the AppleTV, to let brands advertise on the new platform.
The SDK is now live, and will give publishers and advertisers a new way to monetise their businesses on this new Apple advertising platform.
Apple’s fourth generation of AppleTV was announced on September 9th, and released in October.
With the new release, Apple added a new operating system called tvOS, which has an app store, where users can download third-party apps, games and other digital content.
Speaking about the launch of its SDK, App Lovin co-founder & CEO Adam Foroughi said: “Our experience thus far with the tvOS platform has made it clear that the new Apple TV is a game-changer for everyone.
“Users will have new, expanded access to products they want in an incredible environment, and publishers and advertisers have the amazing opportunity to build and reach consumers in new ways.”
AppLovin’s ads on the AppleTV will be similar to those on tablet and mobile, around 30 seconds long and in high definition.
Apple has said that the future of TV is with apps, and AppLovin said it was “tremendously excited” about this new advertising platform.
Foroughi said: “From the moment we saw the new Apple TV demoed, we knew it was a platform we wanted to build on. This interest was affirmed when we got to use the dev kits – the new Apple TV is a fantastic platform for apps.”
