Instagram Is Bringing Adverts & Insights To Stories
Instagram has just announced plans to launch ads for its Stories tool, as the new feature hits 150m daily active users.
The Snapchat-inspired stories feature lets users create short collages using video and images, and broadcast them to their followers.
Launched last August, the feature has added 50m daily active users over the last three months.
And with 70% of Instagrammers following a business, and one third of viewed stories coming from businesses, Instagram has just announced some new features sure to make brands even happier.
In a blog post, Instagram announced the launch of two tools – insights into stories and full screen ads.
Over the coming weeks, the Instagram Business Tools section will include insights into stories, letting brands see the reach, impressions, replies and exits for each story.
In addition to this, businesses will soon be able to run “immersive, full screen” ads in stories.
These will come complete with targeting, reach and measurement capabilities.
For its launch, Instagram will test the feature with over 30 clients, including Nike, Netflix, Capital One and General Motors.
Speaking about the launch, Instagram said: “The launch of this ad format, with its sophisticated back-end to target, measure and report performance, is unmatched in a stories experience today.
“While we’re just getting started with ads in stories, we’re excited to launch even more ways to help you achieve your business needs in the future.”
