MeetMe Launches New Ways To Advertise On The App
Social dating app MeetMe has just launched new ways to advertise on the app.
The San Francisco company has added native chat ads to its iPhone app, along with video interstitials on the Android version.
This move completes the rollout of the native chat ads and video interstitials, which MeetMe began earlier in the year.
The company’s CEO, Geoff Cook, said he believes these new ads will bring an extra $1m in Q4 revenue for the business.
He said: “We are presently enjoying strong pricing on the video interstitials. We are also pleased to bring our native mobile ad unit to our most popular feature — Chat.”
With these new forms of advertising, Cook also said MeetMe has increased its advertising targeting features, launching an expanded profile and interest tags.
Speaking about forthcoming advertising plans, the CEO said: “In addition to these new advertising products, we remain on schedule to launch dramatic improvements to our in-app purchasing products as well.
“By year-end, we expect to launch a major revamp of our MeetMe+ subscription service, as well as a new in-app-purchase product in our Chat section.”
The dating app recently launched on the Amazon App Store, as well as settling a civil law suit regarding the safety of its under-18 users.
