Is 2016 The Year Of Selective Dating Apps?

This year is slated to be the dating industry’s most profitable year to date, as more and more singles flock to dating platforms to find new partners.

A recent article in The Guardian says that 2016 will increasingly see new dating apps make an effort to keep out “undesirable” people, whilst encouraging “high quality” daters to join their services – a trend that has become more prevalent over the past 12 months.

The article speaks to a number of dating apps that have taken this approach, such as exclusive LinkedIn-based dating app The League, Luxy – which dubs itself as “Tinder without the poor people” – and The Inner Circle, which had an impressive 2015 connecting European singles both online and offline, with its popular events.
