Dating Media Company YourTango Completes Big Site Redesign


Dating media company YourTango has just completed a significant site redesign, as the company starts 2016.

The dating editorial site has just finished the re-branding in partnership with New York-based creative consultancy Lippincott.

The refresh includes a new logo and new site, along with updated editorial categories like “Love”, “Sex”, “Family” and “Heartbreak”.

Speaking about the re-brand, the founder and CEO of YourTango, Andrea Miller, said: “Since its inception, YourTango has had enormous brand ambitions. I have long described my vision for YourTango is to be to love what ESPN is to sports.

“Lippincott has provided invaluable assistance in helping us to achieve that ambition. YourTango has always focused on what every woman seeks: love and happiness. We are committed to providing our users the knowledge, encouragement, and emotional validation to feel and be their best selves in order to build happier, stronger relationships with those they love most.

“And not just romantic love. In addition to dating and marriage, we are all about family, friendship, parenting–even pets!”

yourtangoThe media company has over 37.9k followers on Twitter and 810,000 likes on Facebook, and provides a wide range of dating-related editorial content.

Speaking about their collaboration, Lippincott’s Creative Director Connie Birdsall said: “The design captures YourTango’s commitment to helping people build strong, loving relationships. The linear heart illustration and the dynamic script logotype serve to visually reinforce the company’s mission and the passion shared by everyone at YourTango.”

With the new site, YourTango also said it would be producing more content related to the “inextricable link” between love and happiness, as well as love and commerce, saying: “While these connections are intuitive to most women, based on her own personal experiences and observations, compelling data corroborates them.”

The change also gives the brand a better platform to offer marketers that want to connect with women, with improved ad viewability.

One existing partner, Wenda Harris Millard, President and COO of MediaLink said: “YourTango has been a very successful partner to a variety of blue-chip brands such as Ford and L’Oreal, offering branded content and generating massive earned media. The company is well-positioned to scale its offerings to many more major marketers.”
