Jiayuan Hits 140m Users
Chinese dating company Jiayuan has hit 140m registered users across their dating portfolio.
The milestone was reached on the 20th February, and the figure includes their platforms Jiayuan.com, iZhenxin.com, and qiuai.com.
As the largest dating site in China, Jiayuan.com has 126.5m accounts.
This is an increase of 16.5m from June 2014, and means their user base is growing by 2m each month.
Last year, the company appointed Weibo’s CEO to their board of directors.
Gaofei Wang has been the CEO of Weibo since February last year, and Senior Vice President of Sina, Weibo’s parent company, since May 2013.
According to iResearch, in 2014 Jiayuan accounted for over half of total time spent, pages viewed, and number of visits to online dating websites in China.
Their CEO, Linguang Wu, Chief Executive Officer of Jiayuan said: “We are now shifting towards mobile with our re-launched app designed to further support user-growth, especially among younger users, and increase user retention rates and stickiness to our platform. We will continue to invest in new and innovative products and services that will yield sustainable long-term growth.”
