A new dating app is looking to blow “Tinder culture” out of the water, by integrating its matchmaking technology with a select list of London’s hottest dating venues.

Launched last week, LINKD is a new app that uses behavioural psychology to connect people through an analysis of personal traits and preferred lifestyle choices.

The British app pairs its members using a complex algorithm designed by a behavioural psychologist, which matches individuals on compatible personality traits and shared interests.

Once a match is generated, LINKD works to give the pair a list of venues from its selection of date spots, which are tailored based on their shared interests.

It also gives the couple information about each venues, including a description of the place and its opening and closing times.

Like The League, the app uses both Facebook and LinkedIn to verify its users, in an attempt to cut down on fake profiles and encourage a “quality over quantity” dating mentality.

LINKD also integrates with transport and location services like Uber and Citymapper to ensure that its users do not get lost when making their way to or from a date.

Speaking about the app, CEO and co-founder Patric Okumi said: “Many UK daters are sick to death of hook-up apps, which force them into making horrible dating decisions they often regret. ‘Bad Tinder’ dates have become a punchline to a joke that many single people wish they could forget.

“LINKD is for everyone who is actually serious about dating, without the expensive subscriptions and hollow promises of everlasting love.

“People have less time than ever before, but by using our intelligent matching technology, combined with our curated list of dating hotspots, LINKD takes the hassle out of finding quality dates, and helps find great places to take them. At LINKD, cheaters and hook-up artists need not apply.”

Upon joining, users can select one of three different types of account, each of which offers a select number of services.

A standard account gives users 10 profile views each day, with access to the ‘LINKDSPOTS’ venues list.

A Premium account allows 25 profile views a day and full access to the venues page, and a VIP account offers unlimited profile views and full access to the venues pages.

However, until the end of the year, LINKD is offering a premium account to everyone who downloads the app.

After the new year, any new downloads will get a Standard account.
