Match.com have shut down a profile reported to be of “Cannibal Cop” Gilberto Valle.

The former policeman was convicted of plotting to kill and eat women back in 2013.

However the decision was overturned, and he was acquitted in July, the judge describing the fantasy as “role-play”.

And news has emerged that an online dating profile for Valle, under the name AmicableOne14, was recently created.

Although the authenticity of the profile is unclear, Match.com said they shut the profile down after receiving complaints from users.

A spokesperson told the New York Magazine they “received a number of complaints about this profile alerting us to its existence, and have removed it from our site.”

In the profile, Valle apparently listed one of his hobbies as cooking.

The profile also said he was seeking a “non-judgemental” woman, who was “a little kinky”.

Valle also said: “I am spending my energy rebounding from the errors I made in my past and rebuilding my life.”

Earlier in the week, it was revealed that Jon Venables was using a popular dating site, under a different name.
