Australian Dating App Ziinkle Raising $2.2 Million

Australian dating app Ziinkle is gathering AUD $2.2 million in its latest fundraising efforts. The dating app provides users with real-time information on where compatible singles are hanging out.

Released in March 2022, Ziinkle provides real-time data to users to help them form connections offline. It lets users see where other singles are hanging out socially, informing them of local hotspots worth visiting to make a connection.

The platform uses data from Google and combines it with its users’ location data to create “a heat map for love”, an article from Bandt explains.

Since launching, the app has had an average month-over-month growth 27% revenue from app subscriptions and events. The startup was recently accepted into the Newchip Accelerator Program, originally based in the U.S.

“Newchip evaluates a vast and diverse number of seed-stage companies from around the globe, selecting only a small percentage to be part of our Seed Accelerator program”, Armando Vera Carvajal, Vice President of products at Newchip told Bandt.

“This careful vetting process of both the business model and founder makes us an ideal partner for venture capital investors and other key stakeholders in early-stage startup financings who are looking for promising startups that are beginning to generate traction and revenue. Companies like Ziinkle can scale quickly with proper funding and guidance”, he continued.

“We are excited for Ziinkle and believe they will be well positioned to take advantage of a global ecosystem.”
