Bumble Offers Uber Eats Discount to Encourage Virtual Dates

Bumble has announced a new collaboration with Uber Eats which offers singles a discount on their food orders in an attempt to encourage more virtual dates.

Users that swipe through the social app and match with the branded profile will receive a code that can be redeemed for a 25% discount. However the maximum discount is £5 to prevent orders for more than one person.

The promotion is currently only available for users who live in London, Birmingham and Manchester, and are able to get deliveries to their house.

Last week, Bumble introduced new virtual dating features so users can continue to have positive experiences while in isolation.

Singles have the option to add a ‘Virtual Dating’ badge to their profile, which shows their matches that they are willing to have a video or voice call and helps the potentially awkward transition from text messages to video chats.

Bumble is donating $1 for the first 100,000 users that take advantage of the new badge to the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.

Daters are also able to search for matches from all over their country, having previously been limited to a radius of 50 miles. This move should prevent people from running out of suggested profiles and continue to assist fun interactions.
