Bumble has spent large parts of the past couple of months working to help people stay connected and find new relationships while in lockdown.
However, its latest partnership is moving in a slightly different direction to these efforts. The female-first social app has teamed up with canned wine brand ‘BABE’ to help people in the US move houses if they’ve been stuck living with an ex.
The social media campaign promises to cover the moving costs for people who have broken up, but been forced to continue together by local lockdown restrictions.
To enter, singles need to tag themselves on the promotional Instagram post. Bumble and BABE will pick five winners at random.
Although the images promote a mock removal company called ‘B&B Movers’, the companies will not be responsible for the actual labour. Instead, they will provide a $600 prepaid card that can be used to cover the moving costs.
Winners will also receive a variety of Bumble and BABE merchandise, as well as a $100 BABE gift card.
The competition closes on 6th August, with the winners contacted shortly thereafter.
Bumble recently added social-distance dating filters so users can clearly show whether or not they are comfortable with going on offline dates again.
