DateTix Launches On-Demand iOS App In Hong Kong

DateTix

Enverro Limited has announced the official iOS launch of its new location-based mobile platform, DateTix.

DateTix is a Hong Kong-based social platform designed to help users to meet new people in person, whether it be for dating, relationships or platonic purposes.

Following the launch of its mobile-compatible website last year, the platform is now available to download from the App Store across its native city.

The brand was founded by entrepreneur Michael Ye, who also built an early online dating site in New York back in 2004.

Last October, DateTix was acquired by cloud software platform Enverro Limited for 12.5m shares, and a total of 12m performance shares.

Commenting on the launch, DateTix, Ye said: “I’m tremendously excited to announce the official launch of the DateTix iOS app in Hong Kong, which builds on our mission of making it easy to meet new people anywhere.

“Local consumers now have the ability to easily meet new people for in-person dates, rather than spend hours on other online dating apps to swipe and chat but still not meet offline.

“To ensure a great user experience, we will be very focused on the quality of our user community, and at the same time carefully curate high quality and relevant merchants onto our online marketplace.”

How DateTix works

DateTix works by putting users in touch with others at nearby establishments, offering them a curated list of venues they can choose for their dates.

These suggestions largely include popular and romantic restaurants and bars around Hong Kong.

To use the app’s key features, such as the ability to host and apply to upcoming dates taking place, users must own “date tickets” – the brand’s version of an in-app currency.

DateTix also offers extra upgrades which can be purchased as part of its Premium subscription package.

Following its launch, the company will be working to rapidly expand its user base across the city, using a number of upcoming marketing campaigns which include a number of existing and prospective partnerships.

Ye added: “Our goal is to build the world’s largest online marketplace for local dates, and Hong Kong’s large population of affluent singles makes it a great initial city to launch our app.

“Initial user feedback in Hong Kong will provide us with an invaluable opportunity to further refine and optimise our product, and set the stage for our international expansion in 2016 and beyond.”

DateTix is currently free to download, and all new users will receive 100 free date tickets upon verifying their mobile numbers.
