Dig Founders to Launch Cat Person’s Dating App ‘Tabby’

Dig founders Leigh D’Angelo and Casey Isaacson have announced that they are releasing a partner dating app for cat people.

Tabby will officially launch on 8th August, otherwise known as International Cat Day, for single cat owners and cat lovers.

The product appears to be designed in a very similar way to Dig. Users can share detailed information about their cats, arrange cat-friendly dates and get deals from a variety of local animal businesses.

Ahead of the launch, Tabby has teamed up with Sterling ‘TrapKing’ Davis and Nathan Kehn, two notable figures in the cat community. TrapKing runs a nonprofit organisation that catches and rehabilitates strays in Atlanta, while Kehn is known for posting comedy videos on Instagram and TikTok under the persona ‘NathanTheCatLady’.

According to People, Kehn said in a statement: “Cat people are just as unique as the cats they love, but we understand each other. Finding someone who loves cats the way that you do is vital.

“People without cats think that cat ladies and cat dudes are loners wrapped up in their bathrobes playing with balls of yarn all day. Really, cat people are the most suitable for real relationships. We understand what it means to earn trust and how to relish affection.”

The website is currently open for early signups and anyone who registers before the launch is eligible for VIP discounts.

At the end of last month, Dig was announced as one of the first winners of HubStars’ Million Dollar Dating Project. The team will receive investment, as well as expert marketing and development assistance as part of the prize.
