‘Drinx Dating’ the Latest Member of HubStars’ Million Dollar Dating Project

HubStars has announced that the Australia-based Drinx Dating is the latest winner of its ‘Million Dollar Dating Project’.

The startup dating app will receive a share of the seven-figure investment as part of the competition, which was launched to support the next generation of entrepreneurs in the industry.

Drinx is designed to allow a space for people who don’t like setting up first dates or waiting weeks to meet their matches. The idea is to find out which singles are currently at local bars and organise a meeting that same day.

Founder Cody Waller explained: “Drinx Dating creates real-life connections by prioritising people based on distance, which is likely to lead to more dates and meet-ups.

“We aim to connect people who like meeting in-person like the good ol’ days at bars and clubs on a night out, even with a group of friends!”

HubStars will provide a variety of tools and expertise to help Drinx improve its overall product and widen its marketing reach.

Dig, the dog person’s dating app, was the first startup to receive backing from HubStars. This also includes the soon-to-be-launched Tabby, which caters to single cat owners.

Hubstars’ Owner Michael O’Sullivan and Dig’s CEO Leigh D’Angelo appeared on The GDI Podcast to discuss more about the partnership and explain why they thought it was the right fit.
