eHarmony CEO Grant Langston recently spoke about the state of the online dating industry and how he plans to improve eHarmony and increase user satisfaction in an interview with Business Insider.
As a relationship-focused product, eHarmony has always steered clear of the swipe culture, instead focusing on its personality questionnaire and marketing efforts.
However, with the growth of freemium swipe-based apps like Tinder, Langston admits that the dating landscape has changed, millennials turning to the world of online dating.
In the interview with Business Insider, Langston said: “When I see people who use Tinder and they say in their headline they’re not looking to hook up and want a real relationship, I’m like, that’s our failure. That person should be on eHarmony.”
The CEO, who took the position last August, also speaks about why he believes the correct product and design tweaks will help eHarmony prevail over more recent entrants.
