Gooce: A Supper Club for Offline Dating
Two singles, both sick of dating apps, decided to host their own supper club events to encourage dating offline. Their company, Gooce, is now enabling singles to meet one another, over good food, all across London.
Gooce’s website compares its services to “like coming over to a mate’s for a dinner party, just with better food and where everyone happens to be single.”
Their events have a set system, with drinks to encourage mingling, followed by three courses and two changes in seating. The duo take a low-pressure approach, not attempting to matchmake or share ice-breakers.
While the company mainly serves heterosexual singles in their twenties and thirties, it’s now looking to diversify its customer base, its creators told the Evening Standard.
