Online dating solution provider HubStars saw impressive growth throughout August, thanks in part to the success of its redesigned Affinity platform.
Relaunched in November 2018, the Affinity platform is for partners who want to create a dating website dedicated to helping find singles find a long-term relationship. Last month ended up being its best month to date, with a 43% increase in initial conversions and an 18.5% increase in registrations.
The updates included a new notification system, a change in the display of the user feed, and a friendlier style to welcome recent signups to the service.
One of the largest changes is the introduction of more relevant questions to help new users set up their profile. This area now contains tailored prompts that are specific to the site’s niche.
HubStars’ Acquisition & Sales Manager Andy Croghan told GDI: “[We are now] asking bespoke questions unique to a site niche. Providing the user with the comfort of knowing they are in the right place for what they are looking for, as well as us the information we need from the user to be able to deliver them the best matches and overall service.”
The online dating company is also experiencing significant growth in Spain and India, as well as its Latin American markets. The overall number of registrations in Spain and India increased by more than 40%, while in Argentina the figure was up by 63.5%.
Croghan continued on to say that the team saw sizeable opportunities in Spain and Latin America because Spanish is the second biggest language in the world. In order to ensure the move into the new markets went well, HubStars hired native speakers in all areas of the business.
Speaking about India, Croghan said: “We are currently unable to offer a native language platform in the region so, for the time being, we are only marketing to the English speaking Indian market.
“This still represents hundreds of millions of potential daters. The rapidly evolving culture is shifting towards western attitudes to forming relationships online offering huge opportunity, we are excited to be part of it.”
