The Italian Affiliate EXPO announced today that the conference, which was due to take place this month, will be postponed until July because of the coronavirus outbreak.
Following recommendations from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Italian Ministry of Health, Affiliate EXPO has decided that it will postpone the event in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, which has broken out in the north of the country.
“We want the Affiliate EXPO 2020 to be a success, but most importantly, we want the serenity and well being of each and every one of our participants, speakers, partners and sponsors,” said a spokesperson for the event’s organisers.
“In accordance with public authorities, we are not sure the current situation is suitable and, given the circumstances, we believe it would be irresponsible to act differently. The well being and the safety of each of our guests are and must remain our maximum priorities.”
The conference is still taking place in Rome, but will now run from the 17th-19th July 2020 instead.
Affiliate EXPO has assured all guests that their tickets are valid for the new dates, and that it will automatically re-book any hotel reservations made through the All-Inclusive and VIP tickets, or the event’s staff.
However, those who booked rooms separately will have to contact the hotel personally, using the number 06 5083 4111 and ask for their booking to be changed.
The event focuses on the tax and legal aspects of the affiliate world and allow professionals to remain up-to-date on market trends. There are also plenty of networking opportunities for all attendee.
Italy has had the highest number of cases outside of Asia with over 2,000 confirmed infections.
