M14 Industries’ white label app platform now offers scam detection capabilities thanks to a new partnership with Scamalytics.
The partnership sees M14 and Scamalytics team up to enable all M14 partners to activate a recommended “bolt-on” scammer detection tool.
M14 Industries, described by CEO & founder John Kershaw as like “Wordpress for dating apps”, lets partners build their own unique social or dating apps, full of custom features and third party integrations.
And Scamalytics’ award-winning tech, which incorporates machine learning, real time detection, text pattern analysis and image recognition, will now be available as an added integration on the platform.
Using this combined data, the software company has built the industry’s largest shared scammer blacklist of profile and network data, and counts brands like Venntro, Dating Factory, Lovestruck, AsianD8 & Christian Connection amongst its clients.
Speaking about its latest partnership, Scamalytics co-founder Nick Tsinonis said: “Up to 65% of technical resources can be taken up by building and maintaining internal scammer and fraud detection systems.
“We look forward to working with John and their team to focus their investment on building technology for the income generating parts of their platform while we help them with moderation and dating scammer detection”.
M14’s fully-customisable platform lets partners build their own scalable and distinctive dating apps, charging a setup cost and splitting the revenue share with partners.
The platform was born out of Bristlr, the beard dating app launched in 2015, after the team realised Bristlr’s tech was open-ended enough to allow them to use it to build new, different apps.
Earlier this year, the Manchester startup raised a six figure investment round joined by two former ex-Match.com MDs — including Simply Business CEO Jason Stockwood — Friends Reunited founder Steve Pankhurst and head of TechNorth, Herb Kim.
And the Scamalytics partnership comes after M14 signed on a number of “large” media partners it will be announcing in early 2017.
John Kershaw, founder of M14 Industries, said: “A key part of M14’s success is working with those who lead the way in the industry.
“Scamlytics’ advanced system gives us the confidence needed to serve our many clients, and gives them the knowledge their members are protected”.
