
The study looked at Match.com’s data on members who don’t have children, and who aren’t looking to change that, across 500 of the largest cities in the US.
The two companies then generated a list of the top 10 cities with the highest percentage of singles aged 18-45 who don’t want children.
Speaking about the study, real estate brokerage Redfin said: “There are a lot of individuals who are choosing to live childfree, so it’s no surprise that dating websites like Match offer it as a criterion.
“Couples opting for a zero-child household even have their own acronym: DINK, which stands for Dual Income, No Kids. And, well, DINKS also have that extra money to spend on things like vacations, dinners and, yup, real estate.”
