Match Group Donates $30,000 to Feed COVID-19 First Responders

Match Group has announced it is making a $30,000 donation to the Dinner Bell Foundation, a nonprofit organisation that was created to support people who are “serving on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic response” in the Dallas area.

The online dating company is making an initial donation of $15,000, and it will match every additional donation made, up to the value of $15,000. This will equate to supplying more than 5,000 free meals.

Hesam Hosseini, CEO of Match.com, said he and his team couldn’t think of a better way to show their appreciation for the “heroes” in the local area.

He told Dallas Innovates: “The COVID-19 healthcare crisis has changed our communities in ways that are unimaginable. Core to our mission at Match, we believe human connection and love are needed in a time like this.”

The Dinner Bell Foundation will use the funds to connect restaurants with healthcare workers and first responders.

Diane Fourton, one of the founders of The Dinner Bell Foundation, added: “We are proud to see a Dallas-based company like Match step up to support our community right now.

“It means the world to us for companies and individuals to see the importance of what we are doing.”
