Match Produces Music Video Encouraging People to Date and Support Wedding Singers

Match has teamed up with out-of-work wedding singers to create a new advertising spot, encouraging people to start dating again and help keep the featured performers in a job.

The COVID-19 pandemic stopped “millions” of ceremonies from happening and most of the professions associated with the wedding industry were left unable to make money. Therefore, the dating app saw the opportunity to showcase the talents of 12 singers and hopefully get them back into business.

Titled ‘Get Back To Love’, the original song tells singles to download a dating app and find their future husband or wife so the singers can start supporting themselves again.

It was written by duo ‘Pasek and Paul’, known for their work on ‘La La Land’ and ‘The Greatest Showman’, and the whole advertisement was produced by actor Ryan Reynolds’ agency ‘Maximum Effort’.

All of the singers featured in the video are currently available to hire and there is more information about each one on Match’s Instagram page.

According to The Drum, Match’s Chief Marketer Ayesha Gilarde explained: “We’re currently in a culture-shifting moment for daters. Singles are coming out of the pandemic feeling all kinds of different feelings. But one thing’s for sure: they’re ready to make up for lost time.

We loved working with Ryan and Maximum Effort again to encourage everyone to get back to love.”

Reynolds has been serving as a member of Match Group’s Board Of Directors for the past year. During this time he has had a significant impact on the company’s marketing efforts, helping to create the popular ‘Match Made In Hell’ promotion at the end of 2020.
