Match has released a new promotional campaign which highlights the first moments of new couples meeting through the platform.
‘Start Something Real’ consists of eight different stories that are being shown across a variety of media outlets. They focus on every stage of a new relationship, from the first message, to the first date.
For this, Match worked with creative agency Marcel agency and produced videos that utilise a split-screen format. They show two single people, each in their own universe and in their daily life, supported by specific colour palettes for each character.
The singles are then brought to one place at the same time and enjoy their first moments together. Viewers see the first signs of commitment from these character, such creating handmade gifts and choosing a date location and time that suits both parties.
Jeremie Bottiau, Creative Director at Marcel, said in a statement: “The split screen is actually a great metaphor of the process by which singles decide to join Match, because there is a real desire to get out of the frame, to literally take a step towards the other person and start a real story.”
The campaign kicked off on Boxing Day and is being broadcast on television, radio and online in eight different countries.
Jerome Riviere, VP Brand & Consumer at Meetic Group, added: “This new campaign, which celebrates the commitment of single people on Match, is especially appropriate after a year in which the need for connection and love has been essential in our lives.
“1.6 million people have already met their partner on Match and we wanted to remind people that every true story begins with two sincere single people taking a first step.”
