MySingleFriend Launches Dating Event Where Singles Can Bring Their Friends
Dating site MySingleFriend is launching a new dating event in London, to offer singles an offline alternative way of meeting people to the standard algorithms of online dating services.
The site, which lets friends help write their single friends’ dating profiles, will host its first ‘Have You Met My Single Friend’ event on 6th April 2016 at 50s themed bar Love Die Late, situated in Fitzrovia.
Consistent with it’s key feature of letting friends matchmake their friends, MySingleFriend encourages attendees to bring along a friend of the opposite sex, as part of a Friends’ Ticket deal.
When guests arrive, they will be greeted with a welcome cocktail, and then introduced to other attendees.
Following some initial introductions, a bell will ring and the guests will be asked to stop their current conversation and to move to another side of the room, where they will chat to different people.
Commenting on the event, MySingleFriend’s Head of Marketing said: “So often at these events people get caught talking to just a handful of people and by the end of the night, they leave feeling like they didn’t get a sense of who was there.

“This benefit of holding the event in an intimate, authentic venue is that people can move around fluidly and talk to a whole range of people. That’s the whole reason people come to these things after all!”
With the birth of its new event, MySingleFriend hopes to help singles bridge the gap between offline and online communication in a light-hearted setting where individuals have the comfort of being with their friends.
MySingleFriend founder Sarah Beeny added: “There is something more organic about having friends help you find a match.
“Of course, we are in a tech age where algorithms and digital dating are all the rage, but at the end of the day finding a partner is a very human process.”
The first ‘Have You Met My Single Friend’ event will run from 6:30pm to 10:30pm, and tickets can be purchased now here.
Individual male and female tickets are priced at £10 each, with Friends’ Ticket costing £15.
