OkCupid Reveals Liberal Women Have A Greater Chance Of Success Online

A recent OkCupid study has revealed that women with a more liberal outlook have a greater chance of finding someone online.

The dating platform looked at how “successful women” (those who deleted their OkCupid account after meeting someone) responded to its Match Questions, and looked at trends based on the top answers.

Their results found that “successful women” tended to have a more liberal outlook.

For example, “successful women” who support same-sex marriage are 85% more likely to find someone on OkCupid, and those who feel it their duty to help others are 72% more likely to meet someone on the platform.

In addition to this, women who believe “the public should have access to all literature (regardless of its content)” are 34% more likely to find success, and those who believe in the separation of church and state have a 30% greater chance of finding someone on OkCupid.

OkCupid said: “These facts demonstrate that — while looks, success and personal accolades are important — they can’t speak to substance.

“Caring about the equality of fellow human beings is the most distinguishing quality of women who’ve found their match on OkCupid, and we’re pretty damn proud of that.

“Not only does it mean that the women who come to OkCupid are largely caring, compassionate individuals, but it also means that we’re able to help those women find genuine, substantive connections.”

The data also revealed that women who are more open sexually also have a greater chance of finding a partner.

This includes women who are happy to answer their match’s questions about their sexuality (33%), those who disagree with waiting until marriage to have sex (31%) and those who do not see masturbation as infidelity (39%).

Finally, OkCupid found that women who value their match’s education are 31% more likely to find someone, and those who rate good spelling are 36% more likely.

The dating site said: “Want to find a partner on OkCupid? Find out how to have an open (educated) talk about sex. Oh, and spell check won’t harm your chances, either.

“It’s never been more important to be outspoken, open-minded and socially active.

“As it turns out, embracing these qualities also helps your dating life, and ultimately your chances of finding someone special. Substance, smarts — and more importantly, strength — have never been sexier.”
