QuackQuack Reaches 25 Million Users

Indian dating app QuackQuack has reached the 25 million user mark. The platform, which first launched in 2010, is currently seeing over 1 million users join every month.

The app’s Founder and CEO, Ravi Mittal, shared, “It delights us to see so many people place their trust in QuackQuack. In the last year itself, we recorded around 31.4 lakh matches on our app”.

“There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing the steady growth of our community. We have always wanted to secure our footing in Tier 2 Indian cities along with Tier 1; in the last nine months, QuackQuack has gained more than 72% of new users from smaller towns and cities”, he added.

Recently the platform has seen a significant increase in the number of women joining from the eastern part of the country. It recognised that urbanisation is a big factor in this, as more women are looking to marry men from metropolitan areas.

Another key trend is ‘Jugaad’, which is a strategy for problem solving uses the resources on-hand. In the case of dating, more singles are adopting this mindset and using dating apps to make the transition into urban areas more seamless.

36% of men and 9% of women matched with people in a new city through the app to learn more about the local culture, the best spots to hangout, and other useful tips.

Almost 27% of new additions to the QuackQuack community are Gen Z. Comparing the different generations, the platform shared that Gen Z tend to reject the idea of soulmates, and are more open to different relationship types like casual dating or ethical non-monogamy.

QuackQuack shares that it has targeted India’s smaller cities with ads and new campaigns, resulting in greater popularity. With 25 million users already, QuackQuack looks to continue growing even further.
