Say Allo Wants To Be ‘Amazon For Dating’ By Using AI & Machine Learning To Offer Singles Better Matches

Say Allo

Say Allo is a new social discovery app that uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to help offer singles more compatible matches.

The new swipe-based app is from Denver-based company Unpack’d Technologies, and claims to learn user behaviour and preferences, in order to offer them the best matches and keep user effort to a minimum.

Launched last month, the app accesses data from users’ social media accounts and has integrated artificial intelligence, machine learning and face-mapping to help gauge user behaviour and the type of people they tend to go for.

Data matching company Unpack’d Technologies says Say Allo’s accuracy will also improve the more someone uses the app, CMO Jack Shryne saying: “It’s like Amazon for dating. The more you use the application, the more the application learns what you want – to produce more compatible results, the likes of which has never been seen in this industry.”

Users are offered a number of features on Say Allo, including video chat, Compatibility Reports and information on how others have swiped on their profile.

Say Allo also enables users to schedule “a secure video meet-up” from within the app, which it hopes will improve member safety.

This is because the feature reduces the need for people to share personal information (like mobile numbers) and enables them to speak with a match face-to-face before they take things offline.

Say Allo also offers Compatibility Reports that show “exactly how you’re matched with other users” and compatibility percentages that are displayed on people’s profiles as the user swipes through.

In addition to this, the app offers SmartSwipe, a feature that lets singles see how others have swiped on their profile.

Unpack’d Technologies founder Zackary Lewis said: “Finding a compatible connection should be more than a left or a right swipe.

“We want Say Allo users to spend more time having real conversations, rather than looking for them, which is why we’ve built the first application that uses a continuous learning engine on the backend as a driver to compatible matching.”

Say Allo offers a freemium service, which enables users to swipe and message matches for free, as well as a number of subscription options.

With subscriptions, members are offered 500 minutes per month for video chatting, unlimited Compatibility Reports and SmartSwipe use.

Users can access premium features for prices starting at $9.99 per month and auto-renewing subscriptions costing $19.99 for one month, $38.97 for three months and $59.94 for six months.

To pay for extra video call minutes, users can pay $15 per month for 1,000 minutes, $22.50 for 1,500 and $25 for 2,000.

Say Allo is available on iOS and you can find out more here.
