S’More has launched a new distance dating feature which allows anyone in the US to download and use the app beyond their city limits.
‘S’More Explore’ is designed for users to expand their ability to meet new people from the rest of the country while their stuck under quarantine regulations.
According to a recent survey commissioned by the dating app, 72% of online daters are now engaging in virtual dating, and 25% want to date somebody beyond their city limits.
COVID-19 has dramatically changed the dating landscape and this survey shows people expect to screen their dates much more thoroughly, go on fewer IRL dates, and date eligible prospects beyond city limits.
Adam Cohen Aslatei, CEO of S’More said in a statement: “The introduction of S’More Explore lets the entire country take advantage of anti-superficial dating at a time when social distancing and virtual dating have become the new normal.
“Given the fact that so many of our downloads and registrations have come from outside of our ‘active cities’, and the fact that so many people are looking for compatibility regardless of location, this was the perfect time to launch S’More Explore.”
Whilst the dating app had previously focused on New York, Chicago, and Boston, 35% of its installs have come from other areas of the US.
S’More is expecting to launch in Los Angeles at some point in the next few weeks.
