ParshipMeet Group has agreed a deal with social gaming and chat app MocoSpace to add livestreaming and live video.
The partnership was formed through ParshipMeet Group’s ‘video Platform as as Service’ (vPaaS) solution, which assists different customers to keep their communities connected through virtual products.
The solution was initially available to apps in the online dating industry, but has since increased its offering to the general social networking space, due to popularity.
CEO of The Meet Group Geoff Cook said in a statement: “Our vPaaS livestreaming video solution deepens community, increases engagement, and drives monetization for our partners’ properties.
“We power two of the largest publicly traded dating companies with live video and we are pleased to add MocoSpace as a vPaaS customer at a time when Live video usage and the need for people to connect has never been greater.
“Live video is both the right product for today and the solution for the future, enabling a rich and robust experience beyond what text and chat alone can offer.”
MocoSpace specifically targets African American and Latinx users, connecting them through a variety of dedicated chat rooms and online games. The new partnership could see the introduction of virtual speed dating games, like ‘Blind Date’ and ‘Second Date’.
In March, Spark Networks confirmed that it was working with ParshipMeet Group to add livestreaming to its portfolio, beginning with Zoosk. Users are now expected to have access to the new feature early in the Third Quarter.
