Tabby, the new startup dating app for cat people, has just introduced its first subscription structure, to help serious daters increase their chances of finding a partner.
Premium members will receive multiple benefits, including unlimited messaging, appearing at the top of searches, and special access to deals for a variety of cat-related services and products.
Each user will receive a VIP profile badge to show that they are committed to finding a cat-loving partner. One month of “VIP Mempurrship” costs $19.99, while discounts are available for three months ($29.99) and six months ($49.99).
Nathen Kehn, Brand Manager for Tabby, said in a statement: “I know first hand what it’s like to be sitting across from the person you care about, and have them look you in the eyes, and tell you that they want to be with you, but they don’t want to live with cats.
“People always give people with cats a bad name. They call them Crazy Cat ladies because they are so dedicated to their cats. Honestly, I would love to find someone who is as dedicated in a relationship as cat owners are to their cats.”
Tabby was first launched in the US on 8th August, otherwise known as International Cat Day, by the founders of Dig, the popular dating app for dog lovers. Dig is planning to release a similar premium model in the coming months.
HubStars also assisted with the creation of Tabby, as part of its ‘Million Dollar Dating Project’ which is helping the next generation of entrepreneurs with funding and industry expertise.
The ongoing pandemic has led to an increase in cat and dog adoptions, especially among single people who now have to think about their pets when dating.
