TAIMI Partners With ‘Attitude’ to Host Virtual Pride Celebrations

TAIMI is partnering with leading LGBTQ magazine Attitude to support a virtual Pride festival for the final week of June.

While the COVID-19 outbreak has made it impossible to host the normal iconic celebrations around the world, the community has stayed virtually connected to mark Pride Month from their own homes.

The 2019 Pride celebrations led to more than three million attendees at rallies, marches, and celebrations, but 2020 will see a different type of celebration.

TAIMI has joined the ‘Pride Heroes’ series, which is hosting performances from a variety of inspirational LGBTQ+ people and allies.

Michelle Visage, Michael Cashman, Courtney Act, Bisi Alimi, Peter Tatchell and Amrou Al-Kadhi will share their first Pride experiences, what Pride means to them and why they believe Pride is more important than ever these days.

‘Pride Heroes’ kicked off on 23rd June and culminates with the Closing party on 28th June. Full episodes and highlight packages can be found on the Attitude website and YouTube channel.

TAIMI conducted a survey of its users to find out what the Pride celebrations mean to them. 65% believe it is not just a party, but about the fight for equal rights and freedoms of the entire community.

70% of TAIMI users think it is crucial to raise awareness about LGBTQ rights, speak out against injustices and continue the fight for equality.
