A British bar is receiving worldwide attention thanks to a note it posted offering to help customers escape their terrible Tinder dates.
The staff at Brickyard Bar in St. Albans are offering to assist people who have been made to feel uncomfortable when on a date in the venue.
Staff put up a sign in the women’s toilets that encourages their customers to alert a staff member if they find themselves in an uncomfortable situation.
And the sign has gone viral after it was posted on photo-sharing site Imgur by someone applauding the bar for the gesture.
The sign reads: “Tinder date gone wrong? Doesn’t look like his picture, or just plain weird?
“If you’re on a date and it’s not going well, come to the bar and ask for Rachelle or Jennifer and we’ll get you out of it and/or get you a taxi.”
It proceeds to say that once alerted, bar staff will take action by either discreetly moving them away, or politely asking them to leave, saying: “Your safety and happiness is our highest priority.”

“In all honesty, we had no idea our sign would attract this level of attention but in light of the extent of the feedback received we have plans in place already to launch a similar safety campaign for men.”
