Tinder And HaikuJAM Collaborate For International Haiku Day Celebrations

At the weekend, Tinder teamed up with HaikuJAM to celebrate this year’s International Haiku Poetry Day.

The dating app’s operations in India collaborated with the London-based haiku app to encourage singles to submit their own poems about love, with the winners getting their efforts published in a special poetry book for amateur writers.

Yesterday, entrants were asked to download HaikuJAM on Android and iOS and submit their own haiku poems.

Hopeful entrants were also able to use HaikuJAM to accompany their efforts with images, in order to create “photo-stories” representing the words in their poem.

Throughout the day, the entries were viewable here, with many also being shared on Facebook and Twitter with the hashtag #InternationalHaikuDay.

On submission, each poem was also entered into a contest, with the winners getting a selection of Tinder merchandise.

In addition, Tinder and HaikuJAM will also be publishing the best entries in a forthcoming Haiku poetry book.
