Tinder Gold Now Rolling Out Across The World
Tinder’s new subscription service Tinder Gold is rolling out around the world today.
The tier was first tested in Argentina, Australia, Canada and Mexico in June, before expanding to other markets like the UK in July.
And now the subscription service, which comes complete with exciting new feature Likes You, is rolling out across the world.
Likes You shows you who has liked you on Tinder, in a brand new section on the app available to subscribers.
In addition to showing who has liked you since you last opened the app, when you are swiping through the normal Tinder feed, you will be told if anyone you come across has already liked you on the app.
In a blog post published at the time of announcing the feature, Tinder said: “Think of it as your personal Swipe Right concierge—available 24/7—bringing all of your pending matches to you. Now you can sit back, enjoy a fine cocktail, and browse through profiles at your leisure.”
In the US, the current pricing, which is still being tested, is $4.99 per month.
In the UK, it is priced at £4.66 per month.
The price of the service, if it is the one settled upon, seems slightly less than one might expect, considering that Tinder’s lower-level subscription tier, Tinder Plus, was priced at £4.99 prior to the release of Tinder Gold.
Speaking to Buzzfeed, the company said users of Tinder Gold get on average 60% more likes than users of Tinder’s free version.
Brian Norgard, Tinder’s Chief Product Officer said: “We’re always working hard to be sure that being a subscriber adds value to your Tinder experience — and that not being one doesn’t detract from Tinder’s core purpose: to connect you with new people.”
Norgard is speaking at this year’s GDI London online dating conference alongside The League CEO & founder Amanda Bradford, The Meet Group, App Annie, Microsoft, Facebook and Paktor.
