Tinder Introduces Plant-Based Passion and ‘Beyond Meat’ Partnership For Earth Day

Tinder has introduced a new in-app Plant-Based Passion to help environmentally-conscious singles celebrate Earth Day on 22nd April.

The new update connects daters over their love of the environment, green energy, and plant-based lifestyles, and matches them with others with similar interests.

Passions were first introduced to Tinder last summer as a new way for members to share information about themselves. Up to five Passions can be added to a profile which include various hobbies and interests.

According to the Produce Blue Book, 65% of Gen Z want a more “plant-forward” diet, and for some, an environmentally mindful palate can be a deal-maker. Women on Tinder report that both vegan and vegetarian diets are among the most attractive traits in a potential match.

Udi Milo, Vice President of Product & Growth at Tinder, said in a statement: “We’ve seen an increasing amount of love for environmentally-friendly dates in member bios, including a desire to meet up with fellow plant-based matches.

“Now, daters can share their passion for sustainable living, one plant-based meal at a time.”

As well as introducing the plant-based Passion, Tinder are also collaborating with leading plant-based meat brand Beyond Meat. The companies are offering 500 singles a ‘date night kit’ and free vouchers for Beyond Meats products.

The offer will be extended to the first 500 singles who match with one another using the Plant-Based Passion card.
