With the launch of wearables like the Apple Watch, comes another new format that developers will have to tailor their products to, alongside mobile, desktop and tablet.
And as Andrew Shorten, director of Adobe Creative Cloud Product Management says in a guest blog on TechCrunch, it seems as if this will only keep increasing over the next few years.
And while designing for multiple devices is not new, as Shorten says, the challenge the Apple Watch brings is in creating “contextual experiences, designed as part of an overall system that enables customers to interact with your application on the device that most suits their needs at a particular time or location.”
With the Apple Watch only working in tandem with an iPhone, apps and products of the future will have to compliment each other – forming an individual part of a combined experience and strategy.
